Melbourne Cheer Academy (MCA) is proud to announce the outstanding success of our cheer team, Chimera, at the CheerBrandz Spring Carnival in Auckland, New Zealand.
The team—made up of talented athletes from Melbourne Cheer Academy Box Hill, Force Elite Academy Mile End and Bendigo Cheer N Dance Athletics — delivered an exceptional performance to secure 1st place and the prestigious Grand Champion title for Level 2 Non-Tumble, achieving the highest-scoring routine in their division. Remarkably, the athletes seamlessly united as one team upon arriving in New Zealand, showcasing extraordinary cohesion and professionalism on the international stage.
This incredible achievement reflects the dedication, teamwork, and passion of the athletes, alongside the expert leadership of Head Coach Zoe Jones. Throughout the competition, Chimera demonstrated not only technical excellence but also the energy, confidence, and spirit that define our program.
“We are incredibly proud of these athletes and the commitment they have shown,” said Head Coach Zoe Jones. “Their success at the CheerBrandz Spring Carnival is a true testament to what can be achieved through hard work, determination, and belief in one another.”
The New Zealand event featured top cheer teams from across New Zealand and Australia, making Chimera’s victory even more significant. Their performance highlighted resilience, precision, and creativity, setting a new benchmark for future competitions and proudly representing MCA (and the wider Belgravia All Star Group) on the international stage.
