Not Your Typical Gym Manager Role — Continue a Legacy, Build more than a Schedule

Storm is not your average gym.

And we’re not looking for your average manager. Belgravia All Star Group has the opportunity to add to our management team in one of our areas in Gippsland (Warragul and surrounds). We are looking for someone to provide great leadership, direction and financial management to help guide and grow our locations in the region into our next chapter of success. This is your chance to join one of Australia’s premier cheerleading gym networks in a hands-on, office based leadership role that focuses on operations, planning and venue management.

Our regional brand Storm Elite Allstars is known for its positive culture, beginner athlete pathways, and our commitment to developing great people — not just great athletes. Storm Elite is also part of the Belgravia All Star Group, a network of privately owned cheer gyms that are leading Australia in development and management.

The Role

Our Gym Managers play a key role at the heart of our gym operations. They lead the operations of each location – managing office staff, working with Program Leads, Coordinators and Coaches: checking payroll, working to budgets, scheduling, and ensuring our whole club, including classes, teams, and events, run well from organisational work done in the background.

You’ll get to be in the gym, in our community, and leading from the front.
You’ll get know our families, high-fiving tired athletes post-class.
You’ll get to lead the team with care, courage and accountability.
You’ll build an environment where members join and stay, staff can grow, and the energy is positive.

The Mission (AKA What You’ll Own)

  • Growth → You’ll drive member acquisition and long-term retention.
  • Attrition & Retention → You’ll know how to stop the leaks and add the glue.
  • Staff Leadership → You’ll continue to grow an AMAZING local team who embody our values.
  • Community Culture → You’ll help drive gym culture so our members never want to leave.
  • Class Consistency → You’ll keep structure tight & standards high.
  • Customer Experience → You’ll address concerns with calm, clarity and care.

Who This Is Perfect For

This role is perfect for someone who:

  • Understands a Retail environment — This is unique retail: managing casual shift staff and customers with long term customer relationships, and also understanding POS systems and monthly budgets.
  • Has management experience — You have experience managing people with ideally some gym/class based exposure to understand the industry dynamic (cheer, fitness, dance, gymnastics, martial arts, swimming etc)
  • Is passionate about sport and encouraging female sporting participation — you’re competitive, you care, you want to be the best.
  • Is comfortable with conversations – someone able to pick up a phone and converse with parents who advocate for their child in a competitive environment towards solutions.
  • Is ready to lead something meaningful and leave your stamp on something through positive impact

**Note – as an office management role, you do NOT necessarily need to have specific All Star Cheerleading experience – we will teach you all the parts you need to know**

Why Cheer?

All Star cheerleading is one of the most exciting and fast-growing sports to be part of, combining athleticism, teamwork, performance, discipline and community in a way few other sports can. It also plays an important role in female sport and physical activity space, creating positive pathways for predominantly girls and young women to build confidence, strength, leadership and lifelong memories.

With participation continuing to grow and the sport edging closer to formal recognition as a national sport, this is an incredible time to step into the industry. For the right Gym Manager, it offers the opportunity to help lead a vibrant, high-energy program at a moment when future growth has the potential to explode, all while making a meaningful positive impact by providing sporting opportunities to young women across the region.
